A los 18 años ya en [[1994]], ingresó en el [[Seminario Conciliar de San Pelagio]], donde completó estudios eclesiásticos y obtuvo el Bachiller en Teología por la Universidad Eclesiástica San Dámaso en el año [[2000]]. Ese mismo año fue ordenado sacerdote y enviado a Roma para continuar su formación.<br /> <br /> Durante cinco años, residió en el Colegio Español de San José y posteriormente en el Convictorio de la Iglesia Nacional Española de Santiago y Monserrat, donde es becario. Es licenciado y doctor en Ciencias Bíblicas por el Pontificio Instituto Bíblico de Roma. Desde 2010, desempeña el cargo de vicerrector y jefe de estudios en el Seminario Conciliar de San Pelagio. Además, es profesor de Sagrada Escritura y Griego Bíblico en el mismo seminario y en el [[Instituto Superior de Ciencias Religiosas Beata Victoria Díez]] de Córdoba.
