Licenciado en Ciencias de la Información, rama Periodismo, por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, dio sus primeros pasos en la radio en [[La Voz de Andalucía]] y Antena 3 de Radio en Córdoba. Colaboró en Radio Cadena Madrid y ejerció de productor en Radio España.<br />

En [[1985]] entró como colaborador en los servicios informativos de la Cadena Rato en Córdoba, pasando al año siguiente a "Nuevo Diario" como redactor. En [[1987]] vuelve a [[Radio Mezquita]] para hacerse cargo de la información deportiva. En ese periodo fue corresponsal del diario "ABC".<br />

En [[1990]] ingresó en Canal Sur Radio y un año más tarde se incorporó a Canal Sur TV desde las cuales ha dirigido numerosos programas y magazines simultaneando en ocasiones ambos medios. <br />

En verano de [[2011]] presenta el programa "La Tarde aquí y ahora" de Canal Sur, sustituyendo a Juan Imedio, como en temporadas anteriores. En el ámbito asociactivo y ciudadano, fue colaborador del [[Ateneo de Córdoba]] en los años 80, en actividades de gran relieve como la entrega de la [[Fiambrera de Plata]] a los embajadores hispanoamericanos acreditados en España y en el desarrollo de ciclos de conferencias y debates del [[colectivo juvenil Acracia]]. En [[1988]] fue nombrado Ateneísta de Honor por el [[colectivo juvenil Acracia]] y en [[1989]] recibió la [[Fiambreras de Plata Año 1989|Fiambrera de Plata]].<br />
