Académico correspondiente de la [[RAC]].<br /> <br /> == Biografía ==<br /> Rafael Hernando Luna nació en [[Fernán-Núñez]] el 14 de abril de 1936. Estudió Magisterio en la [[Escuela Normal de Maestros]] de [[Córdoba]] y aprobó las oposiciones, ejerciendo durante cinco años en [[El Cabril]]. En 1961 se tituló como facultativo de Minas en [[Belmez]] y, de 1967 a 1971, ocupó el puesto de Catedrático interino. Desde 1971 hasta 1978, fue Catedrático Numerario y luego Catedrático de Escuela Universitaria con dedicación plena y exclusiva hasta su jubilación en 2001. En 1978, se licenció en Geografía por la Universidad de Murcia y en 1981 obtuvo la Diplomatura en Hidrogeología en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Minas de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Obtuvo el grado de Doctor en 1989 con una tesis titulada &quot;Aportación al estudio de la minería cordobesa.
